Violence against women and girls is not simply an issue for specialist services to address. We all have a role to play in preventing it.
Listen, Learn, Lead is White Ribbon NI’s interactive prevention workshop, designed to move participants beyond simply understanding violence against women and girls towards recognising the role they can play in creating change.
Our distinctive three-stage approach explores:
LISTEN
identifies and acknowledges the issue, delves into Northern Ireland's statistics around violence against women, giving space for empathy building.
LEARN
Explores root causes and societal factors perpetuating violence against women and girls.
LEAD
Why Listen, Learn, Lead?
There is no shortage of information about violence against women and girls. What can be harder is knowing what to do with that knowledge.
Listen, Learn, Lead creates an opportunity for honest conversation, reflection and challenge while giving participants practical ways to contribute to prevention in their own environments.
Our workshops are delivered across a wide range of settings, including schools, sports clubs, workplaces, community organisations, youth groups, justice settings and public services, and can be tailored to the needs and experiences of each audience.
The programme has been delivered with organisations across Northern Ireland, including those working in policing, prisons, sport, construction, hospitality and community settings.
Whether you’re looking to engage young people, support men and boys to become allies, strengthen your organisation’s culture or give your team the confidence to challenge harmful behaviour, Listen, Learn, Lead provides a practical starting point for change.
Listen to understand. Learn to challenge. Lead to change.
